    DOCUMENT IDENTIFIER CODES DOCID DIC

    Document Identifier Codes (DIC), also called DOCID, are the three-character alphanumeric codes occupying record positions 1-3 of a MILSTRIP/MILSTRAP logistics transaction that tell DoD supply and transportation systems what kind of transaction it is (requisition, status, receipt, cancellation, etc.). They are defined and maintained by DLA's Defense Enterprise Data Standards Office (DEDSO) in DLM 4000.25 (the Defense Logistics Management Standards manual), Volume 2, Appendix 2.1.

    IRAS (Inventory-at-Risk Alert System) is an internal NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support tool, built by N61 Operations Research & Analysis and introduced in 2017, that flags at-risk repairable assets and NIINs so item managers can redirect carcasses between commercial repair contractors and organic Fleet Readiness Centers before shortfalls hit fleet readiness. It won the 2018 DoD Award for Supply Chain Excellence. It is a NAVSUP WSS internal planning tool, not a public site.
